I have indulged myself with a 360° tour of the TKTS Booth in London's Leicester Square because I like the building and because the backgrounds in an ever changing city are of interest. TKTS has stood on the south side of Leicester Square since 1992. Its predecessor, a smaller hut, was on the west side and opened in 1980 as 'The Half Price Ticket Booth'. The TKTS name was adopted in 2001 emulating the Broadway/Times Square equivalent.
In this view, the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire hotel forms the backdrop to the booth and its entrance can be seen to the left of the picture. To the right can be glimpsed a construction site where once the Odeon West End and other buildings stood. Another Edwardian hotel is being built and is due to open in 2020. The Leicester Square Hotel will have eight storeys above ground and six below ground with bars and restaurants. There will be two Odeon cinemas, event and leisure facilities. It will not be linked to the Hampshire.

On the west side of the square is Communications House dating from the 1920s but refurbished (completed 2016) and now accommodating office space known as LSQ London (entrance 30 Panton Street). Retail units at street level are as diverse as All Bar One and Lego.

In this view, towards the east side of Leicester Square, the Odeon is on the left. It was closed for refurbishment. To the right, the TGI Fridays, which was once a large Chinese buffet restaurant, is below the offices of Global a media company which includes Capital Radio whose name once appeared more prominently on the building.
