I very much like the building featured in this picture. It blends stylishly and sympathetically with the surrounding, older architecture.

The mainly 18th century La Lieutenance in Honfleur was, at different times, the home of the Governor, of the Lieutenant of the king and a commercial court. This one building captures to a large extent the charm of the town.

The weather was inclement but slowly improving when we decided to walk from our mooring into the town of Honfleur. Walking allows you to see the things you might otherwise miss and on this occasion it was these remarkable 19th century sluice gates. The engineering, architecture and associated history were captivating.
