Again in a pause between movement at Solent Airport, again with optimistic macro on my compact. And again, not really sure what it is (information welcome). I think it might be a cricket but I am tempted by weevil although it does not look exactly like any of those in the Flickr group British True Weevils. TZ70_P1020365XCE

Seen in Crete, my best guess is that this is one of the very many long horned beetles. Any assistance with proper identification would be gratefully accepted. TZ70_P1010169SC

The first part of my morning drive was accompanied by this crane fly which presented an unmissable opportunity for macro photography. I drove a few yards expecting it to fly off, massively discouraged but all it did, initially, was turn into the airflow so I parked for a new picture.
