Crane fly (3) - 23 September 2019

The first part of my morning drive was accompanied by this crane fly which presented an unmissable opportunity for macro photography. I drove a few yards expecting it to fly off, massively discouraged but all it did, initially, was turn into the airflow so I parked for a new picture. Soon thereafter, however, at the greater speeds it succumbed to the laws of aerodynamics and disappeared.
