Liebe Fotofreunde, an diesem Freitag, einen Tag nach dem russischen - oder besser: Putins - Angriff auf die Ukraine, fällt es mir schwer, ein unschuldig nettes "Happy Fence Friday" Foto zu posten. Es ist vielleicht etwas unbeholfen, aber als Sinnbild dafür, dass die Achtung der Grenzen und Souveränität anderer Staaten die Grundlage des friedlichen Zusammenlebens auf der Erde ist, hier ein Foto vom Eingang eines Firmengeländes, das besagt, bis hierher und nicht weiter, hier darfst du nicht hinein, aber es gibt eine Tür, die wir für wohlgesonnene Leute öffnen. Das ist der Weg, den wir immer nehmen sollten, nicht den als unerwünschter Eindringling über den Zaun. Update 20:00 MEZ: Nach einer Solidaritätskundgebung für die Ukraine ist mir eine Modifikation des Bildes eingefallen, zu sehen per PiP auf dem gesamten Foto. #### Dear photo friends, on this Friday, one day after the Russian - or rather Putin's - attack on Ukraine, I find it hard to post an innocently nice "Happy Fence Friday" photo. It may be a bit awkward, but as a symbol that respect for the borders and sovereignty of other states is the foundation of peaceful coexistence on Earth, here's a photo of the entrance to a corporate compound that says, this far and no further, you're not allowed in here, but there's a door we open for well-meaning people. That is the way we should always take, not the way over the fence as an unwanted intruder. Update 20:00 CET: After a solidarity rally for Ukraine, I came up with an improvement of the image, to be seen via PiP on the whole photo.

Heute den ersten Tag seit Wochen endlich mal länger an der frischen Luft auf dem Fahrrad unterwegs, das lädierte Ellenbogengelenk war einverstanden. Auf dem Schützenplatz ein Puppentheater mit Zelt, bunten Wagen und schön geschwungenen Zäunen für den HFF gefunden! Lustiger Zaun vor einem Haus auf der Insel Norderney. Was lerne ich aus diesem Foto? Nächstes Mal Blende aufmachen, damit der Hintergrund unscharf wird und sich die Figuren besser herausheben. :-) Funny fence in front of a house on the island of Norderney. Da war Foto- und Selfie-Tag auf der wunderschönen Brücke im Großen Garten in Hannover. Während Uwe 4 Stunden früher noch seelenruhig im Leibniz-Tempel nebenan den Sonnenstern blitzen lassen konnte, wartete und wartete ich auf der Brücke auf einen Moment ohne Menschen, um eben diesen Tempel mit dem Geländer in herbstlicher Stimmung einfangen zu können. Schließlich machte ich die Not zur Tugend... :-) P.S. Zwei Tage später hat's dann geklappt: Leibniz-Tempel von der Brücke ### PS57155 There was photo and selfie day on the beautiful bridge in the Great Garden in Hannover. While Uwe 4 hours earlier soul-quietly in the Leibniz-Temple next door could let the sun star flash, I waited and waited on the bridge for a moment without people to be able to capture just this temple with the "fence" in autumnal mood. Ein hübscher Treppenabgang von der Festung Hohensalzburg , die über Salzburg in Österreich thront. Folgendes schreibt die Tourismus-Info darüber: "Die größte vollständig erhaltene Burg Europas grüßt weithin sichtbar jeden, der sich Salzburg nähert. Sie sicherte den Reichtum und die Herrschaft der Salzburger Fürsten und Erzbischöfe über viele Jahrhunderte und wurde kein einziges Mal von fremden Truppen eingenommen. Bereits beim Aufstieg oder der entspannten Fahrt mit der Festungsbahn bekommt man einen guten Eindruck von der Macht dieser riesigen Anlage." Sehr wahr: Da der Preis der kurzen Bahnfahrt unverschämt hoch war, bin ich aus dem Ort zu Fuß hinaufgestiegen. Danach wussten meine Beinmuskeln und meine Lunge, wozu sie da sind. ;-) HFF! ### A pretty flight of stairs from Hohensalzburg Fortress , which towers over Salzburg in Austria. Here's what the tourist info writes about it: "The largest completely preserved castle in Europe greets everyone approaching Salzburg, visible from afar. It secured the wealth and rule of Salzburg's princes and archbishops for many centuries and was never once taken by foreign troops. Already during the ascent or the relaxed ride on the fortress railway you get a good impression of the power of this huge complex." Very true: as the price of the short train ride was outrageously high, I climbed up on foot from the village. Afterwards, my leg muscles and lungs knew what they were for ;-) HFF to everyone!

Wer schon bei der Heirat Wind und Wetter trotzt, der/die übersteht die Stürme einer Ehe umso besser!? Das kann man am Strand-Standesamt auf Norderney ausprobieren. Übrigens ein echter HFFF, das Foto ist an einem Freitag entstanden. :-) (P1032069) ##### Who defies wind and weather at marriage ceremony will survive the storms of marriage all the better!? You can try that out at the beach registry office on the Norderney island. The sign says: "Marriage, please do not disturb." By the way, it's a real HFFF, the photo was taken on a Friday. :-)

Kann ein NATO-Draht-Zaun "schön" sein, wenn die Sonne darauf glitzert und der blaue Himmel strahlt? Hier ein Beispiel vom Flughafen Hannover. Wie wäre es bei einem Flüchtlingslager, einem Gefängnishof - kann darin jemand sitzen und so ein Lichtspiel ästhetisch finden? (PG915422) ### Can a NATO wire fence be "beautiful" when the sun is glistening on it and the blue sky is shining? Here is an example from Hanover Airport. How about a refugee camp, a prison yard - can someone sit in there and find such a play of light aesthetic?

Vielleicht mal ein Wettbewerb: Wer hat die meisten Zäune im Bild? ;-) Maybe an idea for a competition: Who has the most fences in his/her picture? BTW: Today FFF (Fridays for Fences - eh Future) are marching again. :-)

Cavalry captain Graf von Beust fell down from his horse at this place on 10th August 1874 and died, his comrades dedicated this memorial stone to him.
