On a spring walk, I enjoyed seeing how spring exuberance managed to colonise even the walls. First pip: a caper plant (these live exclusively on walls) sprouts colorful new leaves; Second pip: a wild flower manages to make a home even on a concrete wall; Third pip: a climbing vine comes alive after the winter rest.

Plants move so much slower than us that it is hard to even "picture" them in motion ... I love it when a scene like this brings home the fact that plants are not only alive and moving, but are driven by a will of their own. :)
