Visiting weevil crossing the peeling seat of a garden stool that has been painted over in nearly all the colors of the rainbow ... and that could use further repainting :))

Garden bug on a slip of paper I was using as a book mark (and was originally the home-made calling card of a "jack of all trades"). :D In the PIP the same little courier service guy, this time negotiating a different terrain (old garden stool with peeling paint). I think the little creature might be a weevil of some sort, but if anyone has a less tentative ID, I'd appreciate it!

Somewhere the great alarm clock of Nature went off while I wasn't listening. But everyone else out there, whether plant or animal, seems to have been paying attention!

We don't get many butterflies in the garden, but this was pretty persistent in returning to the same clump of vegetation and gave me a chance to try a shot. I really like how it seems to be staring at me as if wondering what to make of me and my camera.
