The first up-river bridge within Florence's city limits is a mixed function bridge, with a pedestrian walkway running under the two lanes of the freeway belt. Under it, a bike lane and a road running along the Arno River banks attract joggers, cyclists and people just out for a walk on a sunny Saturday afternoon. HFF!

Acquaintances exchange greetings in Prato's beautiful Cathedral square. In the PIP a side view of the most unusual feature of Prato's Cathedral: its beautiful outer pulpit. This detail really captures my imagination. It's easy to imagine a medieval preacher awing the congregation from up high, promising Hell's eternal fire to the sinners!
