The Eastern edge of the Ridge from EL Cancho Gordo (about half way along).
An excellent scramble is to do the entire length of the ridge along the crest as far as possible. The only section I have to bypass is the highest peak, EL Cancho Largo (behind me but visible two photos from this one!), although I have been on the top of it twice but not as part of a longer ridge trek.It needs more time, care and thought than I have if I have to add it to the longer walk and still get back in time for the last bus!

View from El Cancho Gordo along the ridge to Pico De La Miel. In mid distance on top of the ridge is the white guano stained boulder of El Cancho de La Bola, home to my Griffon vulture family friends.

Looking along the eastern ridge from the summit of El Cancho Gordo towards La Pico de La Miel at the end. The fun part is trying to stay as close to the crest top as possible. It is OK in this direction. Much harder going west from here but I have just about managed it on one occasion (only the top 20 feet or so of El Cancho Largo defeated me. It's just occurred to me that it's rather like Striding Edge, Helvellyn but 20 times as long!

It was fun climbing through the fog not knowing if I would emerge from under it! Fortunately I did. And fortunately by this time I was familiar enough with the paths not to be worried about going astray in the mirk!
