Midsummer's day ... and scorching! The Convento Monasterio de San Julian y San Antonio can just be seen in the haze (in the gap between the rocks, a bit to the left of centre).

The village of Valdemanco with its dramatic granite backdrop of La Sierra de La Cabrera. This is where the bus brings me from Madrid when I go walkies here. Shot taken in late afternoon in winter while waiting for the return bus. I have only noticed the full moon today, six (and a bit) years later!!

One of many paths accessing the ridge. It would have been good to have got a shot of some of the many vultures, airborne. But not on this day; the thermals were all wrong, probably.

There is a way down from here but not recommended!
