A hazy day day (well, that is my excuse!). The palace is about 1/3 in from the left and about 1/3 down.

From when I taught at an immersion course in business English for a week in Guadarrama last summer. You may (or may not) be able to see my two students in among the shadows!
The Narnia lamp-posts seem to work OK here!

Sierra de La Cabrera. Rock rose. Spanish has cistus and also jara (jara, apparently means smelling of sh.t in arabic).
But I don't get it. Yes, there can be a heady, cloying, almost sickly air on some days but usually the aroma, mixed in with the lavender, rosemary and thyme is to die for!

I've posted different shots of this before. Overlooking the town of La Cabrera and the vast expanse of the plains of the Southern Spanish Meseta.
Unless there is one I have yet to discover, I reckon this is the largest rock window in the Sierra de La Cabrera.
The main Madrid Burgos N1 motorway cuts across the picture.

Taken with my ill-fated Samsung phone a few years ago. I only posted 5 photos with it on Pano. The phone burst into flames while charging, Samsung said 'water damage - no compensation'
I completely refute this and I will never buy another Samsung!.
I was quite pleased with this shot however!
