The church at the end of my 2nd long walk. I'll find out the name of the church for all those of you keen to know! Thanks to Malona, here it is! Parroquia La Inmaculada Conceptión de Valdeolmos

The parish church (Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Carmen), Valdemanco, Madrid Province. The brooding hulk of Mondalindo lies behind. Better on full screen.

Bright light but perishing cold today.

A quiet corner. By the side of the church I think.

Parroquia Santísimo Cristo de La Victoria, Chamberí, Madrid and too many pigeons for my liking!

Abandoned walled town in Cacares province. (Abandoned due to being cut off by a new reservoir in the 50s). But the fruit trees are still tended and the hay collected for summer, autumn and winter fodder (grass is only grazed in the spring).

Where two well-known Madrid streets meet, Calle de Bravo Murillo and Calle Santa Engracia (my street) at Cuatro Caminos. I live very near here and on a summer's evening you can hear excellent music over the rooftops from the music school situated in the interestingly-shaped building seen here.

Well it's actually the church in Zarzalejo Estación, not the old village further up the hill and a mile or so away. I think it's a pleasant looking church. I might even have a look inside one day! La Machota Chica is the outcrop behind it.

My cousin's farm is just below the hillside horizon (to the left of centre).
