Badlands National Park, South Dakota.

Taken in the Yellow Mounds area of Badlands National Park, South Dakota, this is one of the many photos we've taken on different trips through the Badlands. The park is not far off Interstate 90 and we often drive through it on our way to the midwest or back home.

This is where we were yesterday. We left Washington early on the 15th and drove fourteen hours to Rapid City, South Dakota, where we spent the night. The next morning we drove to the Badlands and spent most of the day there before driving on through the night to Michigan, another sixteen hours of driving, arriving this morning. We stopped often in the park, not only for the scenery but for the wildlife and had a fabulous day. The weather started overcast but soon cleared in part and the opportunities for photos were many. This was taken at Yellow Mounds Overlook.
