Here is a Sagebbrush Lizard, a rather common lizard all across the west. This one was photographed along the Lost Canyon trail in Canyonlands National Park, Utah.
Fossil Lizard Tracks

When hiking the Bright Angel Trail in Grand Canyon we were told to look for this rock along the trail. The marks in the rock are supposed to be the fossil tracks of a lizard of some kind.

We saw and photographed these Yellow-backed Spiny Lizards in the Indian Gardens area of Grand Canyon, while hiking the Bright Angel Trail. There was a picnic area and building there where we had our lunch before hiking the five miles and three thousand feet of elevation back to the rim of the canyon. We thought the male, the larger reptile in the back was courting the female.

This Lizard, the Great Basin Fence Lizard, had several different varieties in Joshua Tree National Park but is easily identified by the blue throat, just visible in this photo.

Photographed near Hidden Valley in Joshua Tree National Park we watched these two lizards, a Side-blotched Lizard and a Western Fence Lizard, fighting. Neither appeared to be injured but they certainly were not having a fridenly tussle.
Desert Iguana

We saw this little lizard near the Ocotillo Patch in Joshua Tree National Park. He was doing handstands when we saw him, probably by way of keeping cool in the heat. He would raise up his whole body as he is doing in the photo and then lower it again.
Desert Spiny Lizard

If I have the ID correct this is the Desert Spiny Lizard photographed at Warm Springs Camp where we spent the fifth night of our Death Valley trip. Do not let the word "camp" mislead you, however. The camp is abandoned and the buildings dilapidated and we slept in our car.

Photographed along the trail to Darwin falls in Death Valley National Park, I have not been able to identify this lizard. Perhaps someone can help.
Skink

This Skink was photographed on Mount Ngunngun, one of the Glasshouse Mountains. I believe it is a Wall Skink, but am not certain of the ID. If anyone knows better, please let me know.
Snake-eyed Skink

I am not at all sure of the identification of this lizard. Elegant Snake-eyed Skink was the best I could do by way of an ID but several others have come up with better suggestions. If anyone else knows better, please correct me. It was photographed on a Eucalyptus tree in the Davies Creek area of Dinden National Park and I've just called it "Snake-eyed Skink."
