This is the view from a side trail that begins at Lake Ann and continues to the foot of Curtis Glacier, the glacier in the photo. This is Mount Shuksan one of the peaks that dominates this area of the North Cascades and Curtis Glaciern is the glacier at the foot of the peak. I do not know if the glaciers at the top of the peak have names or not.

Taken on the trail from Lake Anne to Curtis Glacier. When I look again at a picture like this then the smells and memories of the hike come back to me.
"But it’s all still there in my heart and soul. The walk, the hills, the sky, the solitary pain and pleasure—they will grow larger, sweeter, lovelier in the days to come, like a treasure found and then, voluntarily, surrendered. Returned to the mountains with my blessing. It leaves a golden glowing on the mind.”

This was taken on an overnight backpacking excursion. The mountain is Mount Shuksan, the most photographed mountain in the North Cascades, the glacier is Curtis Glacier and the lake is Lake Ann. We camped by the lake and were watching the light on Mount Shuksan at the end of the day when this picture was taken.
