This dragonfly was photographed near Darwin Falls in Death Valley National Park and I believe it is a Flame Skimmer. If anyone has a better ID, though, I'd appreciate it.

An Eight-spotted Skimmer, I believe, photographed at Summer Lake in Skagit County, Washington.

This dragonfly is the Four-spotted Skimmer, Libellula quadrimaculata. It is, as Sonja has pointed out, the state insect of Alaska. It was photographed along the Auke Nu trail above Juneau while we were hiking there.

Thanks to Fizgig for the ID on this Dragonfly. I had no idea. It was photographed on a Peony flower in our garden.
