One of the few wildflowers we saw in Big Bend National Park was this Fendler's Bladderpod growing by the side of the Rio Grande near Hot Springs.

Washington Twinpod

Also known as the Alpine Twinpod, the botanical name for this interesting plant is Physaria alpestris. It grows only in the state of Washington and only in four counties in the state. It is a creeping plant and has yellow flowers in the spring, followed by these hollow pods with the seeds rattling inside.
