On our recent hike we found a few plants of this wildflower, one we had not seen before. Known as Woolly-pod Locoweed, Woolly-pod Milkvetch or Pursh's Woolly-pod, Astragalus purshii grows only in the dry Juniper and Sagebrush areas. It is a low-growing, mat-forming plant with small flowers.
