This is the reflecting pool that is part of the memorial at the Normandy American Cemetery near Omaha Beach. The statue, shown in the inset photo, that is part of the memorial is just visible at the other end of the pool, which lies between the visitors' center and the chapel.

This sculpture by Donald de Lue is at the Normandy American Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach. The title of the sculpture is "Spirit of American Youth Rising from the Waves." It is at the east end of the reflecting pool that is part of the cemetery ground.

This statue of St. Patrick is on a hill near the place where St. Patrick began his work as a missionary to the Irish.

Harry Jerome was a Canadian Olympic track and field runner. This statue of him stands along the seawall in Stanley Park, Vancouver. It is one of many pieces of outdoor art and sculpture that grace the city of Vancouver and make it such a wonderful place to visit. If I had to retake this photo, I would have shot it at a slightly different angle to keep the head away from the buildings. Thankfully the day was cloudy and rainy and so the buildings do not detract too much from the statue.
