Back in the English Lake District, we see here a view just to the NW of Ennerdale Water. There is a lot of weather around here and this slightly higher viewpoint is a place where winds shape the trees. Best Large.

Enjoy with me the light on these wind-swept trees high above the Balearic Sea. Continuing our fifth day near Deia, still on this West coast, we are now walking down the steep garden trail from the Son Marroig museum (see previous photo), down to the cove and headland at the waters edge itself where we will find our restaurant too. Enjoy full size.

I must admit to having a love for trees, especially trees of character as this one is. Seen above Loweswater Lake and again showing a glimpse of the newly introduced Belted Galloway cows. What kind of tree is it? I will let you investigate :) Nice full screen.

Enjoy this scene which is fairly natural as the sun lit up the tree and foreground on this Autumn day. Moments later the scene was back in shadow.

In this European Tree of the Year 2020 we can enjoy another look at this fine Silver Birch here in Chew Valley, Saddleworth. The steep walk from Dovestones to the top of Chew reservoir might be arduous but it has its rewards. Not least, this lovely Silver Birch tree. Another favourite tree for me with a few snaps of it now over the years. It looks good in all seasons but I do like it in this kind of light and background. Nice full screen PiPs
