This is a trial trying to achieve collimation of the mirrors, you are looking at two shots to make this photo split down the middle. Part of the learning process of this new scope I think I should have shot say 2 to 3 min so as not to blow out the white bright core. I i get a chance I may try again with the lower time but it all dependent on the weather. Stars on the left are not quite as good as the stars on the right. I have been trying to understand the mirrors and alignment but never get enough fine days to fully test out just two night and back into rain. I have to get collimation or mirror alignment before I switch to a Black and White camera and a filter wheel. The camera I am going to use is the very same QHY183M so setting up the whole system is easy its all ready done. QHY 183C -10c 85 shots 5 min each over two nights. As I have been locked out by clouds and rain AND I have things to fix on the telescope I am not sure its worth doing the last shot. A panorama of 4 shot. My heater on the secondary mirror is Dead no heat so lots of dew I find out its not a full circuit so heater never worked . As I got the heater from Europe it so much hard work trying to get a fast reply and new heater. What I found out today there is a broken wire in the right half so it was never going to work. I have to remove the mirror and glue it down to take away the clips that hold the mirror in place to get cleaner stars so i think it best to end this image it would be best to start all over again.... this is three night for the Keel top photo but only two night the bottom NGC3247. I knew they where close but got quite a shock to see them come together . this is not set up as a panorama but just two single shots of the area. you will note that this is the correct rotation of the Keel but does not look any thing like the ship. through better editing more of the background detail shows up.

The Rock looks black from the years of Algae the builds up on the rock. This is some thing you never put your foot on if its wet slipperier than grease I found that one of my early years. The Dragon is trying to blend in to the colour of the rock. This is a two shot panorama to try and get the whole body in focus.

I shot two targets, on the 1/5/2021 I shot the Gabriella nebula 28 shots 10min each between clouds and was no even to make it here it was a simple trial. On the 2/5/2021 I shot 49 shots 10 min each on the main part of the Carina nebula also as part trial but it did turn out very well. they where never planed to go together just two different targets on two totally different nights and one never meant to see the light of day here but made my back ground for a day on the computer. I edited the two shots a day apart as individuals It was not till I sat back and looked at the two shots that I knew they would go together. there was so much detail and enough of an overlap. kind of a shame I did not set it up from the first place right. PTGui stitched them straight up with not one bit of help from me. I do look forward to setting myself a real mosaic I have no fear of not getting the shot right. It has always been PTGui that I turned to to do the Milky way Bows for the last 5 years.

A huge view of just how alone you are out in that landscape but I still was not game to stand in the middle of the road for the shot a full 360 degrees of landscape. I stopped to get a photo of one of the huge termite mounds so took this looking to the Karatha landscape Iron hills. The shot does not come with the 43c or the very high humidity the hire car to the right and port Hedland.

This is a over view of the city of Kalgoorlie , taken from the high point that is the Museum. The city has a very rich selection of very old buildings that all dale from 1895. I may put a few as PIP's only for those who are interested. For those interested this was a very hard panorama to put together as it was taken right next to the Main frames of the Mine pulley frame. half to the left half to the right of the frame which changed the view point and hence angle of view. I chose to have the foreground out and keep the horizon straight. enjoy the over view.

Taken with a D3500 testing out its night ability Taken with my 14mm prime lens 21mm view point. If you look close on the left and end you can see the milky way and just above the city lights to the right you can make out Small Magellanic cloud.

Very late at night we see the western bow. where to go to look west away from the city with some interest. Preston beach in the sand dunes @ 6c after nigninght. there are 4 planets Jupiter Saturn , Pluto and mars. City light pollution is all named, Man it was black.

Street light to the right is the huge light source in the shot but LLL lit the back of the church Mars just below the left side of the bow.

I should have done this in the still but the breeze was picking up . Mars is the yellow light to the right.

The night started light cloud but waiting you get the clearest night . To the Left Maunganui Bluff to Right Pouto a full 360 degrees of view as the tide was coming in. Enjoy a black night in a new land.

Baylys Beach town ship i walked down to the small River could not pass this opportunity up. Milky way is above the township Summer Milky Way.

For those technically minded shot at 350mm horizontal hand held panorama

at the end of the jetty looks south to north. It sure was crowded but enjoyed the night. If you follow the line of the front railing you can see the burn off fire glowing in the sky. Contrast the Lay of the Emu in the milky way to the Eastern orientation in the PIP.

First ever try of some thing just a little out of the BOX. Enjoy, the sun light was starting to show in the upper atmosphere.. for those out there interested 50MM F1.8 lens set @ F2.2 ISO 1250 and 10SEC shot time.
