Keel Nebula and NGC3247

this is three night for the Keel top photo but only two night the bottom NGC3247. I knew they where close but got quite a shock to see them come together . this is not set up as a panorama but just two single shots of the area. you will note that this is the correct rotation of the Keel but does not look any thing like the ship. through better editing more of the background detail shows up.

Steve Paxton club has replied to Nick Weall clubSteve Paxton club has replied to Peter Castell clubPlus I already had a more than capable camera and lens so it was take the first step which was the hardest part. once I was able to see it was possible it has been a learning curve with Carlos's help and guidance. It has not been that hard I find the hardest part on computer as I am not a computer person. I think the results speak for themselves just an ordinary person who put there mind to it. It is all about to change as I am getting the bits together to use a 8" reflector(Mirror) Telescope rather than the Refractor ( like camera lens) I am using at the moment. That is a whole different field a complete set of totally new problems and a jump in Quality.
I hope that answers your question in a roundabout way i guess an enquiring mind has a lot to do with it, and being up for the challenge.
