Apparently Flickr is now auto-tagging uploaded images based on the results of image-recognition software. The catch is that you (a) can't see these tags; and (b) can't delete them, even if they're grossly inappropriate. The speculation is that this new "feature" is in response to the zillions of users who (surprise!) are just uploading every photo without labels or tags of any sort. It's yet another way to drive traffic for the advertisers, y'see.

I still use Flickr for cloud storage, with all my photos set to private, but it makes me wonder if "private" photos are really private...
