I posted this image on Flickr

Untitled

about a week ago and then mentioned it on the Flickr help forum as it had got some views, without being posted to groups, with no text, no tags, no title, and no GPS, it now seems to have gone slightly viral. Maybe if you still have a Flickr acct you could fave, or comment, it would be great fun to see it explored.

LOL! I was actually thinking about posting a similar shot but quickly realised that I would have had to go there to do it. The last time I went I noticed my crappy Fiat photos were going viral and a stupid pic of my wifes crutches was getting tons of views. Go figure.
Good luck on Explore!

Photos of crutches and casts always get loads of views--those are fetishes for some folks.

Now that is a new one for me. To each their own I suppose...

What sort of lens did you use for this? I love how you got the background slightly out of focus. The CEO of Yahoo recently paid over $2million for a similar picture. You should get in touch...

Very impressive! But applying the Ken Burns effect to that image makes it even more appealing.

Yes, I think this is a photo that the KB effect really does work on

thankyou, I don't think it's going to be explored, as I didn't put any text, title or tags in or in any groups or sets, as it was originally just an experiment to see how many views a completely unmarked picture would get, which was 12 in the couple of days before it was noticed on the forum

thanks to all, what started as an experiment seems to have caught a little of the zeitgeist, and there's been lots of fun and humour around it
