Group: U.S. Route 50,The (alleged) Road to Nowhere

Thanks for your reply! I did some more research, and it turns out that the Lincoln Highway across Nevada largely became US 50. The Lincoln Highway split outside Fallon, NV, into a northern and southern route, and the southern became US 50 thru Carson City, south of Lake Tahoe, and then thru Sacramento all the way to the Bay Area. Thru Utah, where it dropped south, there's now no modern counterpart, just a welter of county roads and state routes. At least according to Wikipedia ;):

So I'll confine my posts here to Nevada and California! Turns out there's a Lincoln Highway group on Ipernity as well, FWIW.
