ipernity: Group: Prime lenses (fixed focal length)

February 2016 Competition

We were a little short of entries for the previous competition, let's see how many we can muster in February. I've chosen a topic that I think should provide plenty of options for everyone: TEXTURES. I've given a starter image below, the texture in a knitted jumper, but the choices are almost endless. Now it's up to you.

As usual add the keyword "Prime Lenses 0216" so we can readily identify all the entries at once and please add a thumbnail or link in this thread. You can have up to 2 entries.

Well, the time zones now have moved around and it's time to decide the winner. I'm giving it narrowly to Marta's enigmatic church wall (immediately above), though Gillian's pizza had me sorely tempted. Congratulations Marta, it's your turn to set the March subject.

I'll admit that I've been disappointed by the number of entries for the past few comps, so I'd appreciate everyone's feedback on whether we keep going with these comps after March..

Please forgive me my taking so much time to answer your post!
I am overwhelmed with work lately and being an Ipernity addict I stay away from the gallery so that I am not tempted to indulge in spending here time I do not have ;)
But thank you very much for nominating me the winner.
It is an obligation of course :)
I will think about the next competition, I promise!
But let us skip March for now, spring is coming :) perhaps it will bring some new ideas!

Thanks for your message, Marta. I'm afraid we must all accept that, at times, everything catches up at once: so I fully appreciate your problem. I'll get in touch with you toward the end of the month - as you will see above, I've asked for the members of the group to give some idea of their interest in continuing with the monthly competitions.

Well, there is not much entries lately. I also run a contest in facebook and it has been going down, the contest exists since...I dont remember how many years now. Maybe people get bored after while, there are so many contests...
