Wat Thmei the New Temple on the Killing Fields

Wat Thmei ('New Wat'), was built in the early 1980s on a site used by the Khmer Rouge to slaughter prisoners.
The memorial on the picture befoe takes the form of a glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge. Some of the bones were recovered from a nearby well, while others are the remains of people who died in a nearby field.
