Colin Ashcroft club has replied to David G Johnson clubThis viewing position is achievable with flat walking along the road from Hayfield ( Car parking at Bowden Bridge) to the Reservoir gates just a mile. Then an admittedly very steep but short cobbled section at the start up White Brow just a quarter of a mile. To be honest if you have energy and breathing to get up it’s well worth it. You could then walk round the reservoir at low level or take on a big hike BUT on a sunny afternoon (especially) just stay a while on White Brow and turn back.
