The most amazing thing was that this normally busy part of the Lake District was so quiet, not only no people ( England football match was on ) but not a breath of wind. We could hear birdsong from long distances away. Peregrine, Sparrowhawk (flying low chased by 6 House martins), Kestrel, Raven, Spotted Flycatcher (visiting nest), Whitethroat and Song Thrushes (also visiting nest) Lots of Meadow Pipits and then House Sparrows and finches in the village!

Sorry that you are stuck in the office and I have probably made it worse by listing the above!

Such a magnificent view Colin.............the light is gorgeous and I love the vibrant green colours in the landscape. The rocky foreground is just perfect. Beautifully composed and taken..!!
