A brief history in Picture in Pictures
1. 2004 when this was a Pine Plantation
2. 2014 after it was clear felled and I called it "Desolation Row"

Today it is recovering with planted decidious trees and self seeded trees and shrubs

3. also today a view in the opposite direction

A beautiful recovery, nature is resilient... and deciduous trees are much nicer than these pinewoods planted for production.

A beautiful landscape and a lovely shot Colin. I like the leading line of the pathway, the new trees and the patchwork of fields up on the hill.
