Walking old ground

This is somewhere I walked regularly over many years until 2012 when the area was closed off while the old Hurst Reservoir that went across this valley at the bottom of the Snake Pass was dismantled. There is now just a small pond created at the request of the Fire Service to give them a water source to help fight any wild fires.

The picture in picture shows the view to the left of the river flowing through what used to be the Reservoir bottom.

The area is surrounded by fencing so it's a Happy Fence Friday ( even though just 3 days later it's freezing and there is snow falling!) .

Isn't it good to have Ipernity back up and running.
