This photo taken from Hurst Moor North towards Bleaklow in the UK Peak District. The Snake Pass Road (A57) is above the vertical wall.
The area had just has areas of heather brash harvested for use in the Moorlands for the Future project to save the Dark Peak boggy topped mountains of Kinder Scout, Bleaklow and Black Hill from further ersoion.
The vertical wall also marks open country to the right.
