'Nobi' by Shōhei Ōoka is a tale of humanity, WWII and occasional cannibalism. This copy is a Finnish translation which I bound in black goatskin and ink & acrylic dyed paper. The paper reveals a faint gold and iridescent shimmer to it when looked from different angles.

The 1mm chipboard pieces will be covered with black paper. I'm yet to make and fit the lid, which will be "fun". I'm not very good at boxmaking, but I can see the possibilities when one learns it well.

I was recently gifted with walnut ink and iron gall ink, and together they combine into all sorts of nice things. Is there anything nicer than people who gift you with handmade ink?
