Beim Brandenburger Tor hat man sofort das Bild des Brandenburger Tors in Berlin im Kopf. Tatsächlich ist das Tor in Potsdam älter, und somit das erste Brandenburger Tor. Es wurde 1770/71 von Friedrich II. (Friedrich der Große, der Alte Fritz) in Auftrag gegeben. Insgesamt sind in Potsdam drei Stadttore erhalten geblieben.

Am Brandenburger Tor in Potsdam gab es keine Trennmauer zwischen der DDR und BRD, wohl aber in Berlin.

I had no idea there was more than one Brandenburg Gate...........and so I had always associated it with the wall. Now I know better..!!

This is a beautiful capture Wilhelm..........especially with the detail in the PiP. The stonework is such a lovely warm colour and it looks wonderful in the sunshine!

Ja, die meisten Leute denken an das Brandenburger Tor in Berlin. Durch beide Tore führt der Weg zu dem Ort Brandenburg.

Wieder was dazu gelernt, ich wusste nicht, dass es ein anderes BrandenburgerTor in der Nähe gibt. Als architektonisches Werk gefällt mir dieses hier noch besser !
