Castle Ruins - Heidelberg

Thank you Victor - glad you like it! I think it was the last week of July 2006. Europe (and the UK) had only just shaken off a brutal heat wave a few days before. This was shot in the morning, about 9:30 AM. It was chilly and damp from the heavy rains that brought the cooler weather. That's what likely accounts for the misty background and the subdued light. These buildings are quite striking and (unfortunately) crammed with tourists in the summer months. I was lucky there was a clear shot at this moment.
