These mounds are truly amazing. Everything looks so dry, and yet there are green shoots of recovery. Were there wildfires in this area?

Not here Amelia. This is tropical territory....long dry spells, then flooding rains...up north of Australia.

Ha! I glanced at this thumbnail after seeing the previous shot and was sure this was a closeup of the cairns! Beautiful shot, love the blue and orangey-pink.
