Morning at 4000 meters

Arunachal Pradesh. Himalaya, India. We slept the night in a vehicle here in -8 degrees at this altitude, after a heavy storm closed the road for the night. This is the road......and the vehicle was a ramshackle public bus with broken windows and wooden seats. We had no sleeping bags or super warm clothes!

Oh Sas... Thanks for the lovely comment! I am just trying to get to as many remote places as I can, not too expensively...to see cultures and places which still have tradition. Places untouched by much western influence.

Actually sleeping at locals might be less comfortable, as they often do not have chimneys, so one breathes fumes all night.

Exactly. Agreed. But the unlined tin bus was freezing, especially as the windows did not fit and snow was entering the bus!

Oh,bei -8 Grad im Auto war das aber auch keine schönes,wärmendes Gefühl liebe Diana,aber wir schaffen sehr viel,da könnten sich die heutigen Jungen was abschneiden,eine tolle Aufnahme zeigst du von diesen Verhältnissen :))
