They are quite spartan...here they get up to 6-10 meters of snow in winter...the animals live below, the people above. The tiny windows keep the warmth in and the flat roof is storage for all supplies. it is very isolated and cut off for 6-7 months from the outside world as the roads in (dirt) cross 5000 meter passes, impassable for months. People just stay inside for all winter!
