Minerals arrive and metal departs.... Another at the Port Pirie smelter for the 'industrials' enthusiasts. :) In the background, the southern end of the Flinders Ranges (didn't get there this time).
Pirie by night
I doubt many would consider Port Pirie beautiful, but it does show its best at night with the help of some reflections. (Best viewed on black).
At the smelter
By way of something different..... Industrial scene at the Port Pirie smelter, the world's largest lead smelter (also processing various other minerals).
The stack
One of Australia's tallest smokestacks, at 205 metres, dominates the landscape around Port Pirie in Sth Australia.

We thought that, with the sun gone, the best of sunset also had gone. Then this red glow from reflected light developed, to put a final gloss to a marvellous evening.
