Meeting of waters
Cape Reinga, at the far northern tip of New Zealand, is where the Pacific Ocean to the east meets the Tasman Sea to the west. They have different water circulations and, apparently as a consequence, the different colours and the conflicting wave structure seen here. Best viewed full screen.

THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SPECIAL MAGIC ABOUT SUCH MEETINGS. THE SINCE IS THE DIFFERENT SALINITY OFTEN AND THE DIFFERENT 3INDS AFAR DRIVING THE OCEAN SWELLS !

Oh yes, I can see the difference in sea colour. I imagine this scene can be quite striking at times of very windy weather. It reminds me of some of our big rivers as they enter our seas. Thanks for sharing George.
