A day's outing

Yesterday, Pauline and I went for our first purely recreational day's outing in the past twelve months. We travelled up into the ranges, to one of our favourite places on the Shoalhaven River in the Deua National Park. Thankfully, although the fires earlier this year had caused vast damage to most of the forests through which we passed, this area had been preserved. I would have liked to take a walk to a feature called "The Big Hole", but the water was over the stepping stones and too cold for me to consider fording through.
