It certainly took my mind off ipernity's pending closure when we found this small Red-Bellied Black Snake in our house, late at night! While venomous, these are not aggressive. This was only a youngster at about 400mm, fully grown they can be up to 2M long. Here it has been safely confined to a saucepan, prior to being released suitably far away.

The browns are the ones that worry me, Graham. I've now sealed where this came in, if it had been a brown I'd have been far more concerned.
