st. michael, highgate, london
heraldic drip stop on west doorway of church built in 1831-2 by lewis vulliamy, this looks like the sword in fess with a helmet in chief of the chomeleys, but with a cock's head erased where two garbs should be, not a coat of arms that I can trace, even if the church website claims that it is the arms of sir roger cholmeley, founder of the grammer school here.
