t.e.lawrence, aka lawrence of arabia, + 1935, has an effigy here by eric kennington, though he is buried at moreton. his head rests on a camel's saddle, he wears arab robes, and besides his head are the books he carried on campaign: the oxford book of verse, the greek anthology, and the morte d'arthur.
