this is the entrance front, very low key indeed compared with the porticoed garden side, and its quite a coup de theatre to go into the mousehole ground floor entry only to find yourself in the splendour of the stone hall. built of white brick and stone by kent between 1734-61, this is a massive pile, very cold and palladian indeed, set in a capability brown park
