the firm's eagle mark sits atop the brick lane facade of truman brewery's massive stables built in 1837 by robert davison, eventually home to around 200 dray horses until its conversion to other uses in 1929. a boiler house built inside then by a.r.robertson added the iconic chimney behind, with the brewery's name picked out in white tiled bricks.

the topiary is supposed to represent all of the royal beasts, though it's hard to tell dragons from unicorns. still, good fun. the stair turret and solar bay are reconstructed on the lines of the mid c16 originals.
