c13 chancel, with a c15 upper floor, and the famous lantern turret, supposedly built to line up with the west tower when coming into port , though as the channels in the marshes around here have all changed since then, there seems no way of testing such a hypothesis. they couldn't line up coming into blakeney, so maybe they were for cley?
