st. nicholas, great yarmouth

crossing tower lancets c1200, its pinnacles and the s.aisle are 1862, the porch is c14/c19. the building was a ruin in the c18, was rebuilt, then gutted by bombs and done no favours by dykes bower's messing about inside, not that the church is often open; in fact I found it impossible to enter any church in great yarmouth, a grim town heading downwards.
