I have read about the singing post boxes Joe, but haven't come across one. Thanks for showing....did you get a song from it? Does it just sing when you post something? A lovely fun idea and very festive :)) Cheers!

Thanks, Rosa. This is the second singing pillar box I have come across. Last month, I photographed the one on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. I haven't heard any of them singing yet.

I've never heard of singing post boxes. Mind you - we're a bit out in the sticks.
Apparently you may receive a little festive serenade when posting cards and letters this Christmas! ;-)

I have come across two of the eight UK singing pillar boxes, Amelia, but have yet to hear one sing. Cheers, Joe
