Paper can be folded supposedly at most 7 times.
If one assumes at least a conventional DIN A4 sheet
with a paper thickness of 0.08 millimeters,
a person cannot fold it 8 times with his hands.
It wouldn't matter how big a sheet of paper would be.
In mathematics this is something different...
you can calculate it and don't have to fold it yourself.
If one would fold the DIN A4 sheet 15 times,
then it would be 2.6 meters thick.
After 20 times folding already 83 meters and even 86 kilometers,
at 30 times folding... which means: At 31 times folding the paper
would be in space... and at 51 times even far behind the sun.
I like such a thing :)))
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to TaorminaThe text on that paper is another thing actually ;-) I printed out one "conference paper abstract" I once did with my colleagues. The main purpose was to get some text to make the image more interesting.
What comes to folding standard DIN A4 sheet, then it really ca not be folded more than 7 times. If it could be then I would argue the "paper tower" would then also become so thin that it really would not become very high. One would just ran out of paper =D
Taormina has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubThat is something else...
just like the example with the rice grains on the chessboard.

So, it was not a question but intended to give a link to somewhat interesting article ;-)
